Eminem & Snoop Dogg turns heads with their Bored Ape performance at the VMAs! The two artists’ first collaboration in many years brought a lot of attention for their unique NFT and Metaverse concept.

Eminem and Snoop Dogg turned heads with their latest Bored Ape Yacht Club x Otherside Metaverse-inspired performance at the latest MTV VMAs stage on August 28th.
The performance itself marked history as the first Metaverse stage performance in any award show. Aside from that, the two also made history in becoming the first artists to ever bring Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs to the show.

Bringing Bored Apes To The Mainstream
In a collaboration with Yuga Labs, the two artists saw themselves transforming into animated versions of their own Bored Ape NFTs in a ‘Otherside Metaverse’ themed video before returning to their human forms for their performance.
With lots of different artists performing at the event and millions of viewers for the show every year, Eminem and Snoop Dogg’s Bored Ape performance may have been an incredibly big stepping stone in helping NFTs become more seen and recognized by the general public.

Since its early days, the concept of NFT projects like Bored Ape Yacht Club, CryptoPunks and many more have been heavily criticized by the general public, with many still skeptical about the actual uses of NFTs or whether they deserve all the hype and popularity they do.
Eminem and Snoop Dogg’s recent performance however, may have been able to showcase the public that big artists such as themselves have high views and optimism about NFTs and NFT collections like BAYC. In turn, this may push for the public to become more acknolwedging of both the existence and the potential of NFTs.
