Yuga Labs Reveals New BAYC Community Council, Here Are The Details!
Recently, the creator team behind the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection, Yuga Labs, have announced that they have created their very first Community council.
About The Council
The new community council is made up of up to 7 notable Bored Ape collectors in the space, though Yuga Labs has made it clear that they plan on expanding this council in the future.
The council will focus mainly on building community, pitching new ideas as well as gathering community feedback on the project.
To help the community grow and thrive, we’ve assembled Apes with a proven track record of proactively and positively contributing to the club since the start. This council was formed with the intention of representing the club at large and providing an avenue for new perspectives

“This council was formed with the intention of representing the club at large and providing a new avenue of perspective. The council, and future councils to come, puts a more formal, efficient and consistent process in place for Yuga leadership to get community feedback and advice on an ongoing basis.” Yuga Labs explains in their official blog post.

The seven members of the council so far include Laura Rod, Josh Ong, 0xEthan, 0xWave, Negi, Sera, and Peter Fang, all of whom are BAYC holders and have contributed in the community in many different ways.
Yuga Labs explains that these members were chosen specifically due to them having a “proven track record of proactively and positively contributing to the club since the start”.

Yuga Labs Further Exploring
Aside from just the Bored Ape Yacht Club, it seems that Yuga Labs is looking to explore and further develop their other projects like CryptoPunks, Meebits, Mutant Ape Yacht Club and the Otherside by also creating a community council for them too.
“We are also exploring the evolving needs of our other Yuga NFT communities – CryptoPunks, Meebits, and Otherside,” the team said on their website.
This initiative of creating a community council made up of active and trusted members had also previously been done in the BAYC ecosystem with their native token, ApeCoin.
