Yuga Labs Acquires Beeples Wenew And 10KTF!
The Acquisition
Through a new blog post, Yuga Labs, responsible for some major NFT projects like Bored Ape Yacht Club, Mutant Ape Yacht Club, CryptoPunks and the Otherside Metaverse, made some exciting announcements about their newest acquisition.
In an effort to further expand their company and projects, Yuga Labs has acquired the NFT startup WENEW along with its popular NFT collection 10KTF.

Along with that, Yuga Labs further explains that WENEW co-founder and popular NFT artist Mike “Beeple” Winkelmann will now become a Yuga Labs advisor, while WENEW CEO Michael Figge will become Yuga Labs’ new chief content officer.
“Figge, Beeple, and the WENEW team have found a way to create a captivating serialized story for web3, while also managing to tap into the passion people have for their digital avatars and customization,” BAYC Co-Founder Greg Solano said.
“Storytelling and world-building are foundational at Yuga and I’m thrilled that we get to work with the creative mind hive at WENEW in a much more robust way. The possibilities of what we can do together are endless.”

Focus On Story Building
The announcement of this acquisition brought on some bullish excitement from many in the community because of Yuga Labs’ potential to grow even bigger.
10KTF itself is very popular among the community for its high level of story building, engaging its community and investors through a plot and storytelling.
It’s possibly because of this very reason that Yuga Labs seems to have decided to acquire and work together with the team behind the project, in order to help them gain the same ability of high-level storytelling for their upcoming Otherside Metaverse.
