Adidas Forms Web3 Focused Team, Three Stripes Studio.
After they first launched their collaboration project with Yuga Labs’ Bored Ape Yacht Club back in 2021, ADIDAS has recently formed a new team to manage, develop & deliver their future Web3 projects in the near future.
Three Stripes Studio
Adidas’ Bored Ape NFT, named Indigo Herz, recently tweeted out announcing the formation of the /// Studio, or better known as the Three Stripes Studio. This team of people are made up of creative minds who will be in charge of managing adidas’ Web3 presence.
“Our team proudly takes responsibility for the development and delivery of all adidas global Web 3.0 activities, working to define the brand’s strategy, partnerships, community & activations, and product for the road ahead.” They explain in their Twitter thread.

Adidas & Web3
This announcement comes at a time when the NFT & Web3 community are rooting for community-building more than ever. With multiple large brands like Porsche previously seeing their NFT collections fail massively, many in the community argue that it’s important for brands to have people that understand the Web3 space to be planning and creating Web3-focused projects.
Back in 2021, ADIDAS’ collaboration with Bored Ape Yacht Club & PUNKS Comic, “Adidas ORIGINALS: Into the Metaverse”, did extremely well, selling out just hours after they launched their collection and raking in over $22 million from the sales.
In November 2022, ADIDAS also launched their very first Virtual Gear collection, allowing holders of Bored Ape Yacht Club and Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFTs to style their NFTs with virtual gear. This launch also did considerably well within the Yuga Labs community.
