Twitch Co-Founder’s Web3 Gaming Platform Expands To Polygon. 

Fractal, a Web3 gaming platform developed by the co-founder of Twitch, Justin Kan, recently revealed that it is expanding into the Polygon network earlier today.

About Fractal

Fractal itself was originally launched on the Solana blockchain in December 2021 with features like a gamer-friendly wallet, in-game marketplaces, and more.

The platform then went on to announce that they had received a $35 million seed round in April 2022 with Andreessen Horowitz, Solana Labs, Coinbase Ventures, and Animoca Brands as some notable investors.

In a recent press release, the company explains that their move to Polygon will essentially hep to “focus on user acquisition and provide the blockchain tooling and financial infrastructure necessary to spur successful game development.”

With their move, Fractal’s product suite, F Studio will now offer a Polygon-based launchpad, marketplace, tournaments, developer SDK, and more.

Polygon’s Growing Popularity

These past few years, the Polygon blockchain has slowly been growing in popularity, with multiple notable brands and teams tapping into their network.

Starbucks, Reddit, Nike, and Meta are some of the most notable brands to have chosen to use Polygon to kickstart their Web3 journey.

Along with that, one of the biggest Solana-based NFT collections, y00ts, recently announced their plans to move to polygon sometime in the next coming months after the blockchain network reportedly paid the NFT collection up to $3 million to do so.
