Mark Cuban Slams SEC Chair Over His Comments On Crypto Regulations

Mark Cuban slams the SEC chair over his comments on crypto regulations! On August 22nd, the community was buzzing with the recent tweet from Mark Cuban, who replied to another tweet by the SEC chair, Gary Gensler.

What Happened?

It started with Gary Gensler, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) chair, posting his recent op-ed about crypto regulations on Twitter.

In the tweet, he also wrote, “There is no reason to treat the crypto market differently from the rest of the capital markets just because it uses a different technology.”

Not long after the tweet, many people replied to Gensler by stating their views on the op-ed he wrote. One account even responded with a video of Elon Musk, in which he mentioned no respect for the SEC.

Mark Cuban was among the people who replied to Gensler. On his Twitter account, Cuban asked how people talk and set an appointment with the SEC. He even mentioned Calendly, a modern scheduling platform, to slam Gensler.

Cuban tweeted, “Come in and talk to who? Set up an appointment how? You using Calendly these days? Since you understand crypto lending/finances, why don’t you just publish bright line guidelines you would like to see and open it up for comments?”

Previously on Mark Cuban and Gary Gensler

The recent tweet by Mark Cuban is not the only time he slammed Gary Gensler. Last year, Gensler tweeted regarding how the law is about protecting investors. However, Mark Cuban seemed to disagree with Gensler.

Cuban wrote, “If you were working on behalf of investors, you make it easy for questions by investors and businesspeople to be asked and answered. You make it near impossible.”

Anything related to Mark Cuban and Gary Gensler seems to interest people in the community as they discuss their views on social media.
