Gucci now accepts payments in BAYC Token, ApeCoin! Gucci has taken a deeper dive into the world of web3 by becoming the first luxury brand to accept payments in ApeCoin!
The Announcement
Earlier today, the luxury Italian fashion brand Gucci announced through Twitter that they will now be accepting payments in Yuga Labs’ ApeCoin via BitPay in select stores across the United States.
The brand describes this move of accepting ApeCoin as “yet another step in the House’s exploration of Web3.“

This news comes after Gucci revealed in May that it would start its partnership with BitPay to allow more cryptocurrency payments. In that same month, Gucci also announced that it would begin accepting top cryptocurrency coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and Litecoin at select stores.
