Google Allows Crypto Payments For Cloud Services With Coinbase
Google Is Now Allowing Crypto Payments In New Partnership With Coinbase.
Google has recently made the announcement of their latest major partnership with the crypto exchange Coinbase to allow for payments in the form of cryptocurrencies.
Google Cloud x Coinbase Fro Crypto Payments
Announced on Tuesday during Google’s Cloud Next conference, the major tech company explained that starting early 2023, Google Cloud will begin integrating the Coinbase Commerce service to a to allow a “handful” of customers to pay using cryptocurrencies.

The 10 cryptocurrencies that Coinbase Commerce currently support include Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Ethereum and Litecoin.

Thomas Kurian, the CEO of Google Cloud said about this new partnership, “We want to make building in Web3 faster and easier, and this partnership with Coinbase helps developers get one step closer to that goal.”
Google’s Web3 Exploration
This move marks one of the recent efforts that the major tech giant has been making to dive deeper into the world of Web3 and Web3 technologies like cryptocurrencies and NFTs.
Last month, Google also surprised many in the crypto community when they unexpectedly added a countdown to Ethereum’s historical move to a Proof-of-Stake consensus in an event known as the Merge.

Aside from that, back in May Google also indicated an interest in Web3 when they formed their very first team focused and surrounded on building services relating to blockchain technology.
CNBC also recently reported that there was “no guarantee” that Google would stick with Coinbase for crypto payment processing as the popular payment system app, PayPal, had also recently integrated a new system that allows businesses to take payments with cryptocurrencies.
