Binance’s CZ: ‘SBF Was One Of The Greatest Fraudsters In History’.
Despite having wanted to help the now-bankrupt crypto exchange FTX earlier this year, Binance CEO is now calling its former CEO one of the greatest fraudsters in history.
CZ On ‘Wrong Narratives’
On Tuesday, Binance exchange CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) took to Twitter to address a number of “wrong narratives” that he claims has been roaming around the community since the collapse and bankruptcy of crypto exchange FTX.
First CZ addressed claims that were made accusing CZ of wanting to become “the saviour of crypto.” To this he argued that crypto doesn’t need saving and that saving other crypto projects were just in their collective best interest.

Next, CZ addresses the narrative that a third party may have been the one to cause the collapse of FTX, arguing that FTX were the ones at fault. “FTX killed themselves (and their users) because they stole billions of dollars of user funds. Period.” CZ wrote.
CZ then argues that his tweets earlier this November announcing Binance’s dumping of FTT tokens were not what ‘destroyed FTX’ but that Alameda’s CEO Caroline Ellison’s tweets were the real reason why many investors started dumping their $FTT.
“Caroline’s tweet 16 minutes after mine on Nov 6. Data shows it was the real cause for people to dump FTT” CZ wrote.
CZ Calls SBF A Fraudster
Within his thread, the Binance CEO also goes on to further criticize Sam Bankman-Fried a number of times, calling him both a liar and a fraudster.
CZ argues against claims that SBF only had good intentions saying that “Lying is never with good intentions.”
CZ also says that SBF was intentionally attempting to manipulate the publics view so that he himself could look like a hero.
“SBF perpetuated a narrative painting me and other people as the “bad guys”. It was critical in maintaining the fantasy that he was a “hero.” SBF is one of the greatest fraudsters in history, he is also a master manipulator when it comes to media and key opinion leaders.” CZ wrote.
