Crypto Users Await Plan From Elon Musk for Implementing Blockchain on Twitter.

Bloomberg reports that Elon Musk plans to take over as CEO of Twitter after closing the blockbuster $44 billion deal, Musk currently holds CEO positions at Tesla and SpaceX.

The Aftermath

As a result of the deal, He ousted Parag Agrawal as CEO and Ned Segal as Chief Financial Officer, according to several reports. Additionally, Twitter’s head of legal and policy, Vijaya Gadde, and its general counsel, Sean Edgett, were fired.

The co-founder of Twitter, Biz Stone, acknowledged their contribution in a tweet on Friday, while Tesla’s Elon Musk tweeted “the bird is freed,” in reference to the new era of Twitter.

Upon arriving at the company’s headquarters in San Francisco on Wednesday, speculation began to swirl about his plans for the popular microblogging platform.

The site could incorporate cryptocurrencies or decentralized blockchain networks, according to some crypto believers.

One Twitter user said, “Looking forward to seeing the start of something fresh and healing Elon!. Your ideas are those that many are anticipating to reflect what’s best. I wanted to ask if you plan to add more integrations of the Digital Financial System. Such as using Crypto for payments towards ads?.”

Discussing to Integrate Digital Payments

Tesla CEO Elon Musk held his first Twitter all-hands meeting in June, during which he addressed the integration of digital payments as well as reducing crypto-related scams.

“I think it would make sense to integrate payments into Twitter so that it’s easy to send money back and forth…currency as well as crypto,” Musk said at that time.

Despite a busy week, Twitter added a new feature around NFTs on Friday. The site will pilot a feature called Tweet Tiles that will expand links to specific NFT marketplaces.

Currently, this integration works with four NFT-related platforms: Magic Eden, Rarible, Dapper Labs, and Jump.trade.

“Now testing: NFT Tweet Tiles 🚀 Some links to NFTs on @rarible, @MagicEden, @dapperlabs  and @Jumptradenft, will now show you a larger picture of the NFT alongside details like the title and creator. One more step in our journey to let developers impact the Tweet experience,” said Twitter.
