Yuga Labs Hires Activision Blizzard Head As Next CEO!
The major Web3 company behind some of the biggest NFT collections in the space has recently just announced a new CEO to help them advance their company.
Alegre Joins
Former Activision Blizzard (ATVI) President and Chief Operating Officer Daniel Alegre has been announced to be joining Yuga Labs, the company behind Bored Ape Yacht Club, CryptoPunks, Mutant Ape Yacht Club, to become the company’s new CEO.

According to the company statement, Alegre will replace the current CEO Nicole Muniz sometime in the first half of 2023, after which Muniz will remain in the company as a strategic advisor.
“Daniel has held one of the highest level roles at one of the largest gaming companies in the world,” Yuga Labs co-founder Wylie Aronow wrote in their company’s statement. “He brings valuable experience across entertainment, e-commerce, and global strategic partnerships, all of which are critical aspects of an immersive Web3 world built by creators and for creators.”
About Alegre
Bored Ape co-founders have expressed confidence in Alegre seeing how impressive his past work has been. The former Activision Blizzard executive has previously spent more than 16 years as president of various international divisions at Google before working with the major gaming company.
After joining Activision Blizzard, Alegre helped worked on some of the biggest game franchises including Call of Duty, Diablo, World of Warcraft and Candy Crush.
Alegre will soon be bringing his “deep expertise” in the gaming space to help Yuga Labs develop their ambitious plan to expand to the Metaverse.
