Uniswap Launches New NFT Marketplace Aggregator!
The largest decentralized crypto exchange Uniswap recently announced the launch of its newest NFT-related feature since acquiring Genie earlier this year.
Uniswap users will now be able to trade NFTs, view listings from multiple NFT marketplaces like OpenSea, X2Y2, LooksRare, Sudoswap, Larva Labs, NFTX, NFT20 and more.
In addition to that, Uniswap users will also reportedly be able to save up to 15% on gas costs compared to using other NFT aggregators.
“NFTs and ERC-20 tokens have largely existed as two separate ecosystems within crypto, but both are essential to growing the digital economy. Launching NFTs on Uniswap is our first step in building more interoperable experiences between the two,” the company said in a statement.

Mary-Catherine “MC” Lader, COO of Uniswap Labs has made it clear however, that Uniswaps’ goal of doing this isn’t necessarily to ‘compete’ with NFT marketplaces.
“It’s not competing with OpenSea. It’s not telling you to list your NFTs on Uniswap. It’s just giving you access to OpenSea and the other marketplaces,” Lader told Fortune. “The marketplaces have many other important functions. They have a lot of creator tools that help creators mint NFTs, and we’re not competing with that.”
$5 Million Airdrop
To celebrate the launch of their new NFT aggregator, Uniswap also announced a $5 million airdrop for “certain historical Genie users” via Uniswap’s official site.
Along with that, Uniswap will be offering its first 22,000 new users who purchase an NFT using the aggregator a limited gas rebate. The gas rebate in question is capped at 0.01 ETH and will last until December 14th.
