OpenSea Launches a New Initiatives Allowing an Immersive Drop Experience.
OpenSea, an online marketplace for crypto collectibles and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), has launched an initiative designed to make it easier for creators to create and distribute NFTs.
THe company is going to kick off their first drop on September 22 with omgKirby and Channel Tres. Following that, they will have a schedule of web3 drops showcasing top talent like Warner Music Group, Anthony Hopkins, and more.
Allowing NFT Creator Launch Their Collection On Their Customizable Drop Pages
Founded in 2017, OpenSea has become one of the best places to explore the extensive world of NFTs.
Through this new immersive initiative, creators will have the option of launching their NFT collections directly on the marketplace’s new homepage with customized and dedicated drop pages.
Creators can now choose from a variety of customizable drop pages to share images and videos, highlight their teams, and outline roadmaps.
“Drop pages will include information about the drop, the minting schedule, a countdown clock, and of course – an NFT gallery. We’ll also allow collectors to set alerts via email or add to their calendar to remind them when to return to mint,” cited from the announcement.
Having a Direct Access to SeaDrop
On Opensea, project drops will also have access to SeaDrop, an open source smart contract that simplifies the drop experience and saves creators time and technical difficulties.
“Developing a secure smart contract that can orchestrate multi-stage drops is one of the most important and technically complex elements, and now creators can skip this step entirely by using SeaDrop.” shared OpenSea.
According to the announcement, more updates will follow as they add new drops and gather feedback from their creator, collector, and developer communities.
They also planned to expand to new mint types, integrate more analytics, improve storytelling, and add more allowlist features to this new experience.
