Feet NFTs Explode In Popularity, Takes Over OpenSea!

The latest weird trend to hit the NFT community has arrived and slowly taken over major NFT marketplaces, taking the form of pixelated feet.

About Feetpix

Launched recently a few days ago, Feetpix (or Feetpix.wtf) is a new NFT collection made up of 10,000 unique pixelated feet. The collection itself has a number traits which contribute to rarity, traits include socks, different colour painted nails, cigarettes, and multiple skin colours.

Creators of the project described it as a zero roadmap, zero marketing, and zero promises collection, seemingly having no plans for how to develop the collection in the future.

Climbing Up The Ranks

Despite having no utility or roadmap, the Feetpix collection exploded in popularity within the community for its eccentric and absurd concept.

Since it’s launch on Tuesday, the collection has seen a massive 1,757% surge in floor price, now trading at a floor of 0.11 ETH. According to data from CryptoSlam, Feetpix also saw more than $1,043,000 in sales as well as more than 16,000 transactions.

The Feetpix collection has quickly climbed through the NFT leaderboard, becoming the 4th most traded collection on OpenSea at the time of writing.

Understandably, this collection has caused some divide in the community, though many have also expressed enthusiasm for Feetpix’s success, claiming that the rise of this absurd collection hints at a sign of the end of the NFT bear market and the return of ‘Degen season.’
