The Big Sale

According to data from Rarity.Tools, this Cryptopunk is only one of 24 ape-themed punks and is reportedly the 32nd rarest punk out of all 10,000 in the Cryptopunks collection. The buyer of this rare punk was revealed to be the NFT whale “zoomc”, who has now added this new NFT to his collection of 24 Cryptopunks and 113 Meebits

The Rise Of Cryptopunks

Despite a reported decline in the trading volume across the NFT market, Cryptopunks seems to be seeing a large increase in sales volume the past month, with data from CryptoSlam showing more than a 700% increase in Cryptopunks sales volume in the past 7 days.

Besides the sales volume, the floor price of Cryptopunks has also been steadily rising as floor prices of the collection have now risen to 77 ETH, showing a 61% increase in the last 30 days.

Not just Cryptopunks, it seems that a number of other Bluechip NFTs have been seeing a rise in both sales volume and floor price, including Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), which has seen a 21% increase in its average floor price, while the Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) saw its floor price grow by 25%.
