DAO OMA3
OMA3 stands for the Open Metaverse Alliance for Web3. The purpose is “to solve key challenges of the metaverse and preserve the freedom of information owned by users.” Other WEB3 names that join Animoca Brands are Alien Worlds, The Sandbox, Decentraland, Dapper Labs, Star Atlas, and others.

Alien World stated on Twitter that OMA3 “to jointly address interoperability challenges of the industry.”

These names are not the only ones that formed a metaverse alliance. There is also the Metaverse Standards Forum, which includes Alibaba, Sony, Microsoft, and Meta.
OMA3 and DAO
OMA3 stated on its official website that it “is a DAO (decentralized autonomous organization) that operates like a consortium.” DAO usually uses WEB3 tools in an online-based community and uses crypto or token to give incentive. One of the goals is “true ownership and real-time interoperability.”
OMA3 also wanted to make a unified system in the metaverse world. In it, the digital assets, identities, and data are permissionless. Users would be able to take control. They also would be able to use these assets and transfer them to any OMA3 world.
The joint project is exciting news for the metaverse community. It allows the metaverse to improve and use more technology to operate effectively in the industry.
