The Announcement

On 2 August, Engiven, a leader in crypto donation services company, announced on Twitter its partnership with The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington.

Joseph Gillmer, Executive Director of Development for The Archdiocese, said, “The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington, D.C. seeks to leverage technology to engage parishioners in new and exciting ways.”

He added that through this new initiative, people would comfortably fulfill their missions to the Church.

He also mentioned, Engiven is helping us to fulfill the mission of the Church by providing an advanced yet easy-to-use cryptocurrency donation platform with the flexibility for the faithful to support more than 300 parishes, schools, and ministries in the greater Washington, D.C. region.”

In the tweet, Engiven also posted reasons why organizations choose to team up with them. They mentioned second-to-none security, unique features and customization, and world-class support as the reasons for choosing them.

How Will Crypto Donations Work?

This partnership with Engiven will help the Parish Support Initiative. According to the official website, people can choose what kind of crypto to donate, such as BTC, ETH, SOL, and more. Then, people can see how much it is in USD.

The initiative can make people who are already in the industry more interested in participating in donations that will benefit the program by the Church. In the future, other Churches may follow this step to reach more people.
